48V 3.8A Fork lift truck charger.
Intelligent charging - can be left on indefinitely. It will first charge the bank, and when fully charged switch to maintaining and conditioning the cell.

We have been selling a UPS for use as a Fork truck charger on eBay for several years but running out of stock of that type of UPS unit. This is the new type, and has the advantage of a front mounted LCD screen on the unit as standard (rather than a paid for optional extra).



We found that using the high power chargers that came with our fork lift truck resulted in the battery getting hot, gassing, and to top it off it never seemed to fully charge it. It was damaging the cells and wasting energy in the process.

We switched to using one of these UPS to charge the truck and all the problems went away.
It slowly charges the battery pack without overheating it, then maintains the top voltage with a trickle charge. We generally plug in on a Friday and charge over the weekend. How often you need to charge depends on how much you use your truck. We do ~20 pallet movements a day, and occasionally unload ~25000Kg from a container. We've never had a problem and have been using these chargers for ~5 years at this point.



The great thing is you can just plug it in and leave it, it will charge the fork truck slowly, then maintain that charge indefinitely. Its totally automatic and requires no manual intervention or monitoring.

Most people have bought them to use with fork trucks, but they've also been used with golf buggies / ATV.


They have a front mounted LCD panel that gives an estimate of the charge percentage, but we've not found this to be too reliable as a FLT battery is very different to the normal cell used with the device. This is an advantage compared to the first units we sold as chargers which did not have an indication screen included as standard.

Use is easy:
1/ Park truck near charger. Turn off truck.
2/ Plug your FLT battery into the charger.
3/ Connect the charger to mains.

It will then start charging, even if you dont press the "on" button. It ill start to hum and the fans will run as needed. I'll make a video of this being done.

When you've finished charging, you can disconnect in either order, it does not matter.



We include everything you need to use as a charger.
**You will need to wire your existing charger cable/plug on.**

1x Input AC lead (mains plug)
1x Anderson plug with at least 10CM of cable for you to attach to.

You will need to wire the anderson plug onto your existing charging cable, or you can post that to us and we'll do it for £20. Most buyers have been cutting their existing charging cable and wiring onto the plug/cable we send with a choc block terminal, butt splice or similar. I've made some photos of how I did this our side to give you a starter.

If you'd value having the charger visible on your network (so you can see charge percentage, battery voltage, unit internal temperature) contact us before ordering. The cards are normally between 30 and 50 depending on type and stock levels.

The charger can be used either flat, or stood up on its side.


If you have a fork lift truck that has light use that does not need rapid charging this is perfect.
