    Hello everyone,

This is my first post - sorry for my english in advance.

Sadly SNMP Card in my Amplon is not working. Was thinking about solution with using RS232 port. Unfortunately then I can't use Shutdown Manager and I'm sticked to UPSentry.
My problem is that I want to create few groups with different priority and I'm not sure how my script should look.

    Perfect solution:
    - low priority group turns off 3 mins after being on battery mode,
    - medium priority group turns off 7 mins after being on battery mode,
    - and high priority group turns off when battery is almost 0%.

Is there anyone here who had similar problem and maybe solution?

    Thanks in advance,
    MD

    Hello

sorry to say we've not got the answer.

I recognise the design, the Amplon 3KVA or perhaps 1500 is something we've had.
Aha it was a 2KVA, I'll attach an image.

You could contact Delta, as I think these are still in production. They might give you the pin out, or sell you a network card.

Perhaps a bit of lateral thinking would be better.
Get another small UPS - say APC 750 with a network card
Use that (even though your devices are not connected to it) and configure shutdown of devices after power failure with that.
You could accomplish your first 2 priorities with that. The last one you're stuck with either shutting down after xx minutes (and doing a test to find out the nominal runtime performance to define when that point is, and building in margin), or just having the devices run till the UPS eventually hard drops them.

    Messy and unconventional, but possible.

For sure - even in UPSentry I can put script to do it. But it's pain in the... you know where - lol
Battery life gonna be shorter with time, so I have to remember to check it from time to time. But I guess that's my only solutions for now. I will contact Delta, maybe they gonna have better one.

Had hope that maybe someone had similar experience and want to share with theirs solutions.

Anyway, thank you very much for quick answer! Appreciate you.

It might feel like a platitude, but remember having the UPS covers 90% of the problems. Just having it there.

Perfect integration and setup is the final 10%, but costs you much of the time. Dont feel bad, you're more than half way there.
